Project Squirrel Proof

Well, since our last effort to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder was an utter--though entertaining--failure, Kelly decided to try something else. He took a piece of steel rod, and filed it to hang the feeder from. It's long enough that the squirrels cannot reach the feeder while still touching the post. It seems we have finally out-smarted the squirrels!

What Vacations Are All About...

Kelly's still on vacation, but we didn't actually go anywhere. So I guess it's really a STAYcation, right? Isn't that the new buzzword? But this is what I found when I looked out the front door this afternoon...

Remodeling continues...

Kelly is working on remodeling the 3rd bedroom, which used to be my office, and will now be his. He scraped all that crappy popcorn off the ceilings and installed recessed lighting. It's a HUGE project for such a tiny room.
